Personal Chef Service for All of Central Oregon

Why Hire A Personal Chef?

It's Affordable and Efficient.  Given my hourly rate ($40), you could have 3 main courses (feeding up to 6) w/ 4 or 5 side dishes (feeding up to 6) for about $150, plus the cost of groceries.  Your fridge could contain something like this on Monday or Tuesday night:

Miso Chicken Piccata Breasts w/ Capers
Slow Cooked Buffalo Brisket w/ a Chipotle Rub
Grilled Vegetables Lasagna w/ Homemade Marinara (made w/ fiber-rich whole wheat lasagna noodles)
One large chopped salad w/ romaine, shredded carrots, radicchio, baby spinach, red bell pepper, tiny broccoli florets
One Squirt Bottle of Olive Oil-based Vinaigrette (lasts one week)
Wild Rice, Almond and Dried Cranberries Pilaf
Yukon Gold Potato, Parsnip and Sunchoke Gratin
Green Bean Casserole w/ Turkey Bacon (low-sodium version, not exactly like your Mama's)
Vegan Creamed Spinach

Do you try to put a few meals together in your head while you're at the grocery store? That hardly ever gives me the best results!  A meal I just made up at 5:00 pm standing in the produce section of the Safeway never seems to turn out like a meal I planned a few days ahead.  Let's plan together so you're never caught staring into the meat case with nary a thought in your head!

Do you have a special diet you want to try?

Do you want to learn portion control?

Do you say to yourself: "If there were a wonderful salad in my fridge, I'd eat more vegetables."  Big salads are my specialty.  I love an elaborate chopped salad and I love fresh, homemade salad dressings.  A nice chopped salad will last 3 or 4 days in your fridge and they make an easy side dish: just grab a handful of diced, sliced and torn veggies and choose a homemade dressing.  It's a no-brainer for adding more fiber and veg to your diet, something we all need.  Some favorite salads ingredients include: mache, romaine, jicama, shredded carrot, radish, tiny-diced bell pepper, radicchio, frisee, cayenne-spiced pecans or walnuts, crumbles gorgonzola, baby arugula, baby spinach, butter and bibb lettuces, and turkey bacon strips.

Do you say to yourself: "If there were healthy dishes in my fridge, I'd eat them right now!"  Sometimes eating well is a matter of things being there right when you want them, deliciously prepared or simply nicely cleaned and chopped.  I know that for me it is difficult to always have a healthy meal on hand.  But you can increase your chances of getting a healthy meal by giving over your kitchen to me for a few hours a week and by doing a little meal planning in advance.

Do you clip recipes but never actually make them?  I can do that for you!  Most of my clients are pretty interested in food and desire to try out new recipes, but lack the time.  I love to execute new recipes .... hand them to me and leave only the tasting to yourself!

Do you waste food?  Tell me how many I am cooking for and I will come very close to making exactly how much you need.  I can adjust recipes and keep costs low by minimizing waste.
